Terms of Use — Before You Go
Effective date: June 11, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Before You Go ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), which applies to your license to use the App. If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA governs your license. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Important: Reminders Are Not Guaranteed
Before You Go helps you remember things by sending reminders based on your calendar and the locations you set. These reminders depend on iOS, your device settings, your permissions, signal and battery conditions, and other factors outside our control. They may be delayed, missed, or not delivered at all. Do not rely on the App as your only safeguard for anything important — travel documents, medication, keys, children, pets, or safety-critical items. You remain solely responsible for what you bring, check, and do before you leave.
Checklist Content
The App's checklists are general suggestions to help you prepare. They are for general informational and organizational purposes only and are not professional, travel, safety, legal, or medical advice. Always verify that a list is appropriate and complete for your specific circumstances.
License and Acceptable Use
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple EULA. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the App's curated content or source, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Apple's terms.
Subscriptions and Billing
- Before You Go is free to download and use with limits. A "Pro" auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase are available via Apple In-App Purchase.
- Pricing is shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's terms; we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.
Your Content
The checklists you create and the triggers you set stay on your device. You are responsible for your own content. We claim no ownership of it and do not access it.
Intellectual Property
The App, its curated checklists, design, branding (including the Before You Go name and mark), and underlying technology are owned by the developer and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you no rights to them except the limited license above.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that reminders will be delivered or that the App or its content is accurate, complete, reliable, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss, injury, harm, missed reminder, or forgotten item arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App or reliance on its reminders or content. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes
We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (Emirate of Dubai), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. This does not affect any rights granted to you, or obligations imposed on Apple, under the Apple EULA.
