Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Shelf ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), which applies to your license to use the App. If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA governs your license. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

What Shelf Does

Shelf reads the screenshots in your photo library on your device, sorts them into categories, extracts useful details, and can help you delete screenshots you no longer want. Its categorization and suggestions are produced automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

Important: You Control What Gets Deleted

Shelf can help you remove screenshots, but you are solely responsible for what you delete. Deletion always goes through iOS, which shows its own confirmation, and removed items move to your Recently Deleted album. Review your selection carefully before confirming. We are not responsible for any photo or data you choose to delete.

Automated Categorization

Shelf uses on-device text recognition and AI to sort and label your screenshots. This is provided for convenience only. Do not rely on Shelf's categories, extracted text, or suggestions as accurate or complete — always verify important information against the original.

License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple EULA. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the App's source, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Apple's terms.

Subscriptions and Billing

• Shelf is free to download and use with limits. "Shelf Pro" is an optional auto-renewing subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase is also available, via Apple In-App Purchase.
• Pricing is shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's terms; we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

Your Content

Your screenshots and the information Shelf derives from them stay on your device. You are responsible for your own content. We claim no ownership of it and do not access it.

Intellectual Property

The App, its design, branding (including the Shelf name and mark), and underlying technology are owned by the developer and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you no rights to them except the limited license above.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App, its categorization, or its extracted information is accurate, complete, reliable, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or photos arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, including any deletion you perform with it. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (Emirate of Dubai), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. This does not affect any rights granted to you, or obligations imposed on Apple, under the Apple EULA.
